Staying in INDIA

Tolerating Indian mentality has become very irritating for me these days. Sometimes I think why, why I am in this country, when I have the opportunity to got and reside in some developed country and spend a quality life there.

You have overcrowded city transport system. During peak hours I cannot take the city bus to go anywhere, as all are jam-packed. Taking auto is another pain in your ass. You have to argue with the autowalas for the fare, which should be applicable to the destination.

Then riding bike in this “god made” roads just screws your head. No traffic discipline, just people riding according to their leisure. Road full of potholes or should I say pothole with sum road on it. There are no proper footpaths for pedestrian to walk.

People spiting tobacco on the road, footpath and even on stairs. So much pollution and suspended particles in atmosphere.

Also for good life, the ratio of money spend to money earned is less in developed countries compared to INDIA.

And most of the INDIANS have very irrational mentality. Be it belief in god, lack traffic discipline, work culture, selecting your political leader, behaving with others, not having unconventional ideas, not respecting people from other religions, caste, language, not respecting physical as well as mentally handicapped people, irrational perception of sex, drugs, not respecting homosexual peoples, concept of arrange marriage, concept of staying with your parents, liking for fair people. So many hypocrites, bigots and irrational people here. The list is too long.

Why should I stay in such kind of environment? Some fanatic will say, that you should be patriotic to your country and shouldn’t speak like this and do something for your country rather than discussing. Some people even say me traitor. See first of all I am a selfish guy like any normal human being, when I have opportunity to go out why shouldn’t I? Don’t people change their company, city, state to work in some other place? Aren’t they patriotic to their company, city or state?

Its not like that I am going for money to some other country, I am earning a good amount of money to suffice my needs, but I cannot tolerate such irrationality. Why should I waste my life is such bad ambience, I alone cannot change the system. So better go in some good system.

hmm.....Spending a Quality Life... Aaram ki ZIndagi....!!!

that's what we all want now a days... aaram....its okay..India is a free country and u as an Indian are free to live your life as u please..!!

But then, like every one, u would not do anything to change this!! You would have escaped because u Can and have the means... There are other people who Can but wont coz they would like to be in the system and fight it out.... No guarantee of winning..but at least die fighting..!!

A good Start was given to us by Lead India Campaign ....!!! You might wanna give it a thought next year,,ALl The Best!!!

Hey rashmi,

My meaning of quality life does not mean “aaramwala” life. Quality life means living life without basic problems like bad roads, traffic, footpath, no overcrowded busses etc. Y shud I die fighting, when I have option of living without fighting. And what is the point of fighting when you know you are not going to win.

You think Mr. Misra, the winner of Lead India will change all this things. No, mite be he will change economic stuff of a village but not the mentality of people living in INDIA.

"It Will not Change" is the Root Cause of all misery...... are u God...to tell...it wont change...u have foreseen future!!
great ya..!!!

And what is the point of fighting when you know you are not going to win.
and thats y India is like this!!!

Hey common rashmi be practical,

Let me clarify, I agree it will change, but when? It will take another 100 years for all the changes to take place. But I am sure for next 10 - 20 years it wont change. So no point to be here.

And are you god that you have forseen to see that there will be a change?

Well as per your discussion with rush.me, you already feel that this place is a hell...its all about mind set...even though i am living in the same rutt as you are, but i am happy bcoz i feel comfortable here and i know how not to bother myself with the nonsense around me and at the same time i do not ignore it too...and every country have their own advantages and disadvantages...its upto you what side of the coin you want to focus to...the bottom line is, its your life, you can live it up the way you want to...live your life according to your priorities!!!

hey vishal,

I always thought reading other's blogs is a utter waste of time

But sale I do keep a track of your blog now that The Google reader has started telling me whats on. I loved the conversation between U and rush me. I agree with you that India will noty improve & 1 person can do nothing. So I also wanna run away to U.S

But believe me I will come back to tyhis same place. No matter wherever I go, I will always be reminded of stuff here. Things and people that i have grown up with, spent my half of the life with. You may hate 100 things in & about India, but even iof You love 1 thing, you would come back. Thats my belief.

In case you are thinking who this guy is, this is Hardeep who used to work with ya in Motif. Mehul's friend and was in ebay (I hope U remember now)

As Discussed the whole issue is very subjective...and as a matter of fact everything else is. Just imagine a country with 1.2 billion ppl with 28 states speaking 14 different language and following 8 different religion. And its as young as just 60 years... Chaos/bad roads/hypocrisy/corruption/dicrimination and ....... will exist cause we as indians have come a long way.. a very long way.. And you all will admit.... its getting better.

Just watch this video and you will realize what india is.

This figures doesnt impress me. So wht india has 28 states or 200 states , 14 or 100 different languages, 8 or 50 different religion. This are no excuses for such kinds of shit runnin in india.
Infact I think such a diversity is one of the major problem for our progress. May be at macro level its sounds good to see this diversity, but all micro level this diversity is problem for us. Diversity is never an excuse for lack of progress.

I agree the situation is improving, but improving at what rate and when will it acheive the target. It will take lots and lots of years my friends, and life here is too short to wait for that.

Mr. Satan

You have to be practical. Just imagine the amount of consumption by 1.2 billion people.just imagine how difficult it is to govern so many ppl. The india poised campaign link i sent
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wP-TwHwLc98

is exactly what India is today. And we can always criticize things...how many of us gets up and try to change it??? The point here is even if you settle abroad.. I am 200% sure you will miss India in just one year cause the energy which is here you cant get it any where in the world. And I am telling you this cause I know since 17 years.

1.2 billion? Just imagine if our countrymen had efficiency and utilization of same as U.S of A or other european countries. If we had the same GDP per capita then our GDP would have been to some mind boggling numbers. But no my dear friend we are not there. We are still a third world country.

And what population you are talkin abt, they are many developed countries having population density more than us still they are 100 light years ahead that us.

POPULATION IS JUST A LAME EXCUSE

how many of us gets up and try to change it???

Oh get up and change it, sounds very bold and impractical. You tell me how can I change whole system. I am damn sure that will increase my frustration more by seeing that inspite of my efforts nothing is going on as wanted. Changing the mindset of 1.2 billion is out of the scope of even the "self proclaimed" mighty GOD.

I am 200% sure you will miss India in just one year cause the energy which is here you cant get it any where in the world.

Ok let me say I will miss INDIA , so what?
And what reasoning and research made you say that energy here is much more than other countries in the world.

Mr. Satan..

U need to Understand, Realize and Accept that our huge Population is the Root cause of Our Misery...!!

Its not because of someone's Carelessness or Laziness that things are like this.... Government is working hard to make us available are the resources...!!!

Anger on trivial and useless issues is certainly valid..but a Genuine problem Which is not in ur hands or Mine (e.g Population) has to be considered...!!!

SaTaN said...

Hi Rush.me (Neway who wants to rush to you?)

There is always two sides of a story. I can say a huge population is advantageous. We have ample man power, ample brain power then what else you require to run a country. China is having 1.5 billion population still they come under medium-income group and we balls under low income group.

Population is never a problem if you utilize it properly.

If population is such a problem then y countries more densily populated than us are developed than us?
