Well couple of weeks back Maharashtra Navnirman Sena activists beat up north Indian aspirants appearing for the Railway Recruitment Board entrance exam for the Western region, saying that North-Indians are taking away employment from the local people (Marathi Manoos). Well is that the real problem Maharashtra is facing? Well I think its not even 0.001% of total problem Maharashtra is facing.
Today Maharashtra is having acute power shortage. Everyday there is 3-4 hours of power cut in pune itself. Who is running the Maharashtra State Electricity Board, the "Marathi manoos" himself.
Even there are water problems in many parts of Maharashtra and Pune also. So who is heading the water resource department in Maharashtra and PMC in pune, its "Marathi Manoos" himself.
The quality of roads, infrastructure , transport facility available sucks here in pune, so who is heading the Pune Municipal Corporation, the "Marathi Manoos" himself.
So as u can see there are basic lot of problems in Maharashtra and which really affects the Maharastrians, but this is not really been addressed by the MNS.
The Railway recruitment or North-Indian problem is hardly affecting 0.001% of Maharastrians. As stated above there are lot of basic problems which Maharastrians are facing but nobody is addressing it. I think the marathi manoos himself is an enemy of marathi manoos cause he is not bothered to improve the facilities of Mahastrians staying in the state.
I know lot of Marathi people who are with Raj Thackeray for the way he fights for rights of Marathi Manoos. But as I said early they forget that North-Indians are hardly 0.001% of problem , Maharashtra has lot of basic problems that are not been solved by the departments of various government organization which are been headed by Marathi Manoos himself.

I think Mr. Raj should actually teach the other "Sons of the soil" to actually do away with the lazy attitudes and say "No, the factory is too far away...."
Now he should know, why North-Indians get preference over the "Sons of the Soil"...
That's secondary issue... first the primary problems should be addressed... Roti, Kapda, Makaan, Paani aur Bijli

I appreciate ur article esply in the light of what Nita had said in her blog earlier abt this hostility being restricted amongst poor people only.Nothing like this becomes visible and aparent unless the middle class get involved and I suspect that is tha case in Maharshtra.Menial jobs are never scarce in a country like India, its the blue collar jobs that get affected. I also liked ur Nat Nurture post atho I had seen the title elsewhere :) bye

Well I liked your thinking and way you write this blog.... good work. But tell me why all are telling abt morality to Raj only.. where are you people when abu azami was telling that i will bring 10000 people from Bihar...try to create local vote bank...actually Raj is highly misunderstood person....Hindi media is responsible for this explosion...they have perposefully wrong translated his all speeches...plz try to get correct translation from your marathi friend (if you have).All Hindi media have done what FOX news has done against obama...I have many north indians friends..I like there culture..I respect it..But if you see peoples in mumbai..They never respect local lang..use badwords if you speak in local lang..lets take example of Marathi Nameplate.. again they have problem..what it shows.. can you do same thing in colcutta, chennai..? Then why are you expecting it in MH.? dont forget it is capital of MH...Expectation is only that to Respect local culture....what we do when we go outside...just take example of Rajani... he is only for Tamil people...He willl never say HUM MH SE HAI,HUM MARATHI ME BOLENGE..TAMIL HAME MAF KARE..what is need of this kind of statment.. Why dont you teach that we are indians first to Jayaji...This is totally double standard...
